INDIAN BENCHMARKS: SENSEX ENDS DOWN 70 POINTS LOWER, NIFTY AT 10700- 16 JAN 2018

Benchmark indices ended the session on a negative note, with the Sensex ending over 70 points lower.
The Sensex is down 72.46 points or 0.21% at 34771.05, and the Nifty down 41.00 points or 0.38% at 10700.50. The market breadth was negative as 700 shares advanced, against a decline of 2159 shares, while 252 shares are unchanged.

Wipro, Infosys and HCL Tech gained the most on both indices, while Coal India, BHEL and Tata Power lost the most.

The crucial resistance for Nifty spot is now seen at 10780 and above this 10860.Support for the immediate term is now placed at 10690 next support will be 10615.
