Sensex, Nifty end off day's low; Yes Bank plunges 29%.

Benchmark indices ended lower but off day's low on the back of buying seen in the last hour of trade.
The Sensex was down 35.78 points at 39031.55, while Nifty was down 6.50 points at 11748.20. About 721 shares have advanced, 1780 shares declined, and 149 shares are unchanged. 
Yes Bank, Indiabulls Housing, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Infratel and Hero Motocorp were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were JSW Steel, HCL Tech, IOC, Zee Entertainment and BPCL.
Among the sectors, Nifty PSU bank declined more than 3 percent followed by auto, FMCG, infra and pharma, while some buying seen in the energy, IT and metal indices.

Kotak Mahindra Bank's has reported Q4 net profit at Rs 1,408 crore, up 25 percent YoY. Net Interest Income (NII) has increased to Rs 3,048 crore from Rs 2,580 cr in Q4FY18. Net Interest Margin (NIM) for Q4FY19 was at 4.48 percent.
Godrej Properties has fallen almost 4 percent intraday after the company announced raising Rs 2,500 crore by way of equity and debt.
Hero MotoCorp falls 3 percent after Q4 profit tanked 25 percent YoY. However, global brokerages maintained their ratings on the two-wheeler maker. Though, Citigroup and CLSA slashed their respective 12-month target prices.

Late buying helped benchmark indices to close the first day of May series near day's high level with Nifty finished above 11,750 mark.
At close, the Sensex was up 336.47 points at 39067.33, while Nifty was up 112.90 points at 11754.70. About 1085 shares have advanced, 1410 shares declined, and 153 shares are unchanged. 
Tata Steel, BPCL, GAIL, ICICI Bank and JSW Steel were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers include Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Grasim Industries, Dr Reddy Labs and Bharti Airtel.
Among the sectors, except auto all other sectors ended in green led by metal, bank, energy, IT, pharma and FMCG.

HDFC Life Insurance Company Q4 earnings: Net profit rose 5% at Rs 364 crore and net premium income up 15% at Rs 10,247 crore.
Piramal Enterprises Q4: Consolidated adjusted profit at Rs 457 crore, revenue up 23% at Rs 3,680 crore. Board declares final dividend of Rs 28 per share.
MCX Shares Climb 5% on Strong Earnings Growth in Q4 :- Multi Commodity Exchange of India shares rallied 5 percent intraday after healthy earnings growth in quarter ended March 2019.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals shares gained 2.6 percent intraday after its Ahmedabad unit received certain observations from the US health regulator.

Late sell-off drags Sensex 324 pts, Nifty ends April series below 11,700.

Benchmark indices saw major selling pressure in late trade on April 25 and reversed more than half of previous day's gains.
The BSE Sensex fell 323.82 points to 38,730.86 and the Nifty50 dropped 84.40 points to 11,641.80 amid rising crude oil prices.
Banking & financials pulled the market lower.
Bharti Infratel (down 10.22 percent), Tata Steel (2.76 percent), Vedanta (2.49 percent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (2.11 percent) and Hindalco (2.07 percent) were top losers.
UltraTechCement and Grasim Industries rallied 5 percent each. BPCL, Dr Reddy's Labs and UPL were other gainers.

Indian indices ended at day's low as selling pressure dragged Nifty below 11,600, while Sensex also fell nearly 500 points. 
At close, the Sensex was down 495.10 points at 38,645.18, while Nifty was down 158.30 points at 11,594.50. About 747 shares have advanced, 1751 shares declined, and 166 shares are unchanged.

Nifty ends at 11,750, Sensex falls 135 points; Reliance Industries gains 3%.

After hitting record highs in the morning trade, the benchmark indices gave all the gains and remained under pressure for rest of the day on the last trading day of the week as Nifty ended at 11,752 level.
At close, the Sensex was down 135.36 points at 39140.28, while Nifty was down 34.40 points at 11752.80. About 872 shares have advanced, 1662 shares declined, and 163 shares are unchanged. 
Market will remain shut of Friday (April 19) on account of Good Friday.
Yes Bank, Indiabulls Housing, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta and Zee Entertainment were among major losers on the indices, while gainers include Reliance Industries, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, BPCL and Wipro.
Among the sectors, except energy all other sectoral indices ended in red led by PSU bank, infra, metal, FMCG and auto.

DCB Bank recommends dividend: The board of directors of the company recommended a dividend of Re 1 per equity share of Rs 10 each (i.e. 10%) for the year ended March 31, 2019.
Shares of Star Cement rose 6.7 percent after company received Rs 174.48 crore towards its freight subsidy claims from the Central Government.
Jubilant Life Sciences has issued commercial papers of Rs 100 crore with a tenure of 68 days, maturity on 25.06.2019.
PSU banks are also one of the biggest losers today. Only one of the constituent stocks of Nifty PSU Bank is trading in the green.
RBL Bank has informed that the Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.70 per equity share. The bank's Q4 net profit has jumped 39 percent at Rs 247cr. However, the stock is trading one percent lower. 
HCL Technologies said it has become a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Premier Partner. The new partnership will help enterprises accelerate the adoption of GCP at scale and further strengthens HCL portfolio of cloud services, it added.
Just Dial has denied news reports, and has said there has not been a data breach of 100 million users on its platform. It added, there was a vulnerability on its older version of the app which has now been fixed. The stock is down over 3 percent.
Mahindra & Mahindra has entered into an agreement with Ford India Private Limited for development and supply of SUVs.

It is strong close for the benchmark indices on Tuesday with Nifty closed near to 11,800.
The Sensex was up 369.80 points at 39275.64, while Nifty was up 96.80 points at 11787.20. About 1258 shares have advanced, 1276 shares declined, and 159 shares are unchanged. 
Sensex and Nifty touched record highs of 39,364.34 and 11,810.95 respectively in today's trading session.
ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Titan Company, ONGC and Adani Ports were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Wipro, Cipla, GAIL, Tata Motors and Infosys.
Except PSU bank and IT, other sectoral indices are ended in green led by infra, metal, FMCG and energy.
Nifty Bank ended 1.4 percent higher at 30529.80.

Motherson Sumi Systems slips after HSBC cuts price target :- Motherson Sumi Systems shares fell over a percent intraday after British investment firm HSBC maintained its buy call on the stock but slashed price target to Rs 170 from Rs 233 per share.
Q4 for Auto may be Challenging :- Q4FY19 for auto sector is expected to be a challenging quarter, with volumes declining across segments, HDFC Securities said.
Lupin shares gained 2 percent after it announced the launch of Testosterone Gel, 1.62% (20.25 mg/1.25 g pump actuation), having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
