Ashok Leyland Q1FY17 results: Operating performance ahead of estimates; forex gains further boosts profitability
Ashok Leyland revenues grew 10% yoy to Rs4, 259 cr during Q1FY2017. Volumes grew 11% yoy while the realization per vehicle remained flat on yoy basis
Operating margins improved 110 bps yoy to 11.2% coming ahead of our estimates of 10.1%. Price hikes coupled with a better product mix led to lower raw material costs leading to margin improvement for the company.
EBIDTA at Rs476 cr came in ahead of our estimates of Rs424 cr.

Piramal Enterprises plans to raise Rs150 crore via NCD's
Piramal Enterprises Ltd has said that at the Meeting of Administrative Committee held on July 18, 2016, the Committee approved the allotment of 1,500 Secured Redeemable NCD’s, having the Face Value of Rs10,00,000/- (RsTen Lakh only) each, aggregating to Rs150 crore under Tranche IV of the Shell' Disclosure Document.
