• KEC International wins orders worth Rs 1002 cr
KEC International has secured new orders worth Rs 1002 crore in its transmission & distribution, railways and cables businesses. The Company secured order worth Rs613 crore under the transmission & distribution business, which include orders worth Rs458 crore in the domestic market. Four orders aggregating Rs372 crore have been placed by PGCIL and a turnkey order worth Rs 86 crore has been placed by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation.

• Rajesh Exports secures Rs1302 cr worth export order
Rajesh Exports has announced that the company has secured Rs1302 crores worth export order.

• Cipla Stempeutics gets process patent from Japan
Cipla's JV firm Stempeutics Research has received process patent from the Japan Patent Office for novel stem cell drug Stempeucel aimed at treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI).

• Maggi adheres to Singapore safety norm; Nestle gains
Shares of Nestle India rose nearly 3%, touching to Rs5699, on media reports stating that the Maggi noodles manufactured in India has met the food safety standards of Singapore.
Maggi noodles manufactured in India met local food safety standards and do not pose risks to consumers, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) said.

• Indian Bank reduces Base Rate & BPLR
 Indian Bank has reduced the Base Rate from 10.25% to 9.95% per annum and the Benchmark Prime Lending Rate ( BPLR) by 30 basis points from 14.50% to 14.20% per annum with effect from June 08, 2015.

• Tata Steel workers in UK to go on strike on June 22
Tata Steel workers in UK to go on strike on June 22 over changes to pension scheme – Negative read thru .The 'strike action' will be preceded by the employees refraining from over-time and observing work-to-rule next week in the escalating dispute. Currently, it employs 17,000 people in the UK across four sites.

• Wipro eyes bid for UK outsourcer, Equiniti
Wipro is mulling a takeover bid for Equiniti, the British-based group which manages the pensions of millions of UK civil servants. Wipro is among a clutch of prospective bidders which in recent weeks have lodged their potential interest in a takeover with Equiniti's owners.
                                                                                                 
• Skipper ties up with Japanese and European firms
 Skipper has entered into a tie-up with a Japanese and an European firm for manufacturing and selling high-end PVC pipes in the eastern region. The Japanese firm, Sekisui, would provide chlorinated PVC compounds for manufacturing CPVC pipes, while Skipper would import specialised products from the European company Wavin.
