INDIAN BENCHMARK open lower tracking a bearish trend ahead of the two-day US Federal Reserve policy meet beginning today where the world’s top central bank may offer some cues over the timing to raise interest rates for the first time since 2008.

FURTHER, Torrent Pharma could see
some action after it got tentative US FDA nod for hypertension drug Amlodipine & Valsartan. IDFC recently raised Rs 1,000 crore through QIP, will soon start the process of transferring its assets and liabilities to a new holding company as part of transforming itself into a bank.

Trend in FII flows: The FIIs were net buyers of Rs 192cr
in the cash segment on Monday while the DIIs were net sellers of Rs. 74cr, as per the provisional figures released by the NSE.
