INDIAN BENCHMARKS closed on a flat note during the truncated week offset initial losses. March quarter earnings season kicked off with top four IT companies reporting numbers. WPI climbed to 5.70 percent, CPI rose to 8.31 percent from 8.03 percent month-on-month.

Infosys delivered a positive surprise
with margin expansion of 50bps qoq in Q4 FY14 and an encouraging FY15 dollar revenue growth guidance of 7-9%.TCS’s performance in Q4 FY14 was modest with dollar revenue growth at 1.9% qoq and operating margin contracting by 50bps qoq.

The INDIAN BENCHMARKS SENSEX ended 0.12 points down at 22628.84 and the 50-share NIFTY closed 3.10 points up at 6779.40.
